Landon Chronicles (1944-1945): Kenneth on Nelson Rockefeller and His Office (hour 67, clip 18)
Date:
1944-1945
Description:
Nelson Rockefeller, the Assistant Secretary for Latin American Affairs in the State Department, managed to have his chimney opened (many of the chimneys were not in working order). One day Kenneth had occasion to go in there, and he saw a load of birch logs from the Northeast, wrapped in cellophane. They were taken in to Rockefeller's office for use in his fireplace. His office was posh in every way, with a huge mirror, fireplace, big lounge chairs, a couch, and so on. (Length 1:19)
