Landon Chronicles (1929): Siam: Servant Problems (hour 49, clip 17)
Date:
1929
Description:
Margaret often had problems with her servants not being responsible enough. The Chinese servants tended to be noisy, negligent, dirty, and dishonest. But they were tremendously hard workers. The Siamese were quieter, cleaner, and more careful, but the were also lazy. With either group Margaret needed to show she was in charge so that they would respect her and do the job. (Length 2:13)
