Landon Chronicles: Kenneth on how things went at the State Department once the war got going (hour 67, clip 10)
Description:
As the war really got going, at the State Department people started coming in from the field, like John Davies, Jack Service, and fellows who were cashiered later on in the McCarthy era. John Davies was fired. Service made a fool of himself by making a document that had been drafted by Ken Wells but went out over Service's name available to Amerasia, which printed it verbatim, Service's name and all.
