Scope and Contents of the Materials
The Charles E. Wilson Papers are composed of correspondence, secondary articles, scrapbook and lecture materials from the early 1990s primarily related to his autobiographical manuscript "Bastogne to Bavaria with the the Fighting Fourth Armored Division 1944-45."
Charles E. Wilson, died on August 2, 2001 in Everett, PA. He was born June 6, 1916 in Chicago, IL. On September 1, 1940 he married Loretta Carlson in Greeley, CO. He graduated from Wheaton College in 1942. He had two children, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Wilson was a World War II Army veteran who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was 85.
